Teen's phone meets dad's hammer after mega-bill
CHEYENNE - In one month, a Cheyenne teenager sent 10,000 text messages and received about the same - all while her family's plan did not include texting.
That means the family's provider - Verizon - charged them for each incoming and outgoing text.
The girl's parents, Gregg and Jaylene Christoffersen, thought texting had been disabled, so one can imagine their surprise when they got the monthly phone bill and it asked for $4,756.25.
"It just hit us like a rock, like you're stepping into a bus," Gregg Christoffersen said.
The bill was legit.
Dena Christoffersen, 13, had apparently been sending most of these messages at school. That's more than 300 texts within an eight-hour period every day for the whole month.
Needless to say, it drew attention away from what she should have been doing: paying attention in class.
"She went from As and Bs one semester to Fs in two months," Dena's dad said.
Hours after the enormous bill arrived, Gregg Christoffersen took a hammer to his daughter's phone.
He and Jaylene also grounded Dena until the end of school.
"I felt really bad and I have learned my lesson," Dena said with her head down.
Since she lost her phone, Dena's grades have gone up and the texting is down to zero.
As for the phone bill, the family says Verizon has been willing to knock it down to a reasonable level.
The Christoffersens are now asking school administrators at Johnson Junior High School to crack down on cell phone use during school.

Hey Guys,
Today the block buster result was soo surprising at first The 'L.O.T.G.F.' win against The 'A to Z Generation'.
At first I taught that The A to Z Generation will win but looks like The L.O.T.G.F. is very strong. Both of the team were in 3A -gasp-
After The 'A to Z Generation' lost against The 'L.O.T.G.F.' They'll play against 'The Revolution' and the result are o-soo surprising. At first I taught that The 'A to Z Generation' will lost but looks like I gotit all wrong! Really really wrong! They were good at this. At the end The 'A to Z Generation' won and 'The Revolution' were eliminated. T-T

Bill Nye: Itching - MSN Encarta
Hi Bill,
What's going on under our skin when we get an itch? And why does it feel so good to scratch it?
--Itching for an Answer
Dear Itching,
Ah, such a question; it's got two sides. What's more satisfying than scratching an itch? And then, what can drive you crazier than an itch that just won't go away? For a long time, itching was believed to be a kind of mild pain. Scientists say itching is affective, meaning that it causes a feeling; it leads to a behavior--namely, scratching! Billions of us, including everyone you've ever met, know what it is to scratch an itch. That makes this a big question in scope and a great one as well. But it is also a microscopic question, because itching starts at the very tiniest nerve endings in your skin.
When we get an itch, we get the urge to scratch, which in turn disturbs or removes skin cells. You can scratch with your fingernails or toenails. You can rub against a tree. When you can't reach, you can use a backscratcher, a tool found in cultures around the world. All of these behaviors remove some skin cells. Now, why would we want to do that?

Block Buster!!
English Month is here and like last year me and my friends join the Block Buster!!
Team Name: Enternal
Team Members: Zulfadhli (Me =D), Qaire, Kairul and Syafiq (The newest member of Enternal)
Yesterday we won against 'The Revolution' and we lost against 'T.L.O.T.G.F.' (Short for 'The Legacy Of The Godfather')
And on Monday 'T.L.O.T.G.F.' will play against 'A to Z Generation' and after that 'A to Z Generation' will play against 'The Revolution'
Since we lost one game and win one game we'll enter the next round. And if a team lost both game, they will be eliminated.
Woo! Hope the 'A to Z Generation' and 'The Revolution' win tommorow game.
Well...Good luck to all!!!
